Education is one of the most important pillars in building a tolerant and peaceful society. With the escalation of challenges related to extremism and violence, the function of the educational system in schools should not be limited to teaching scientific curricula only, but peace education curricula must be adopted that have a key role in promoting and spreading a culture of peace, enabling students to acquire the values of citizenship, tolerance and intercultural dialogue, and deepening mutual understanding to spread a culture of peace and peaceful coexistence. Our project "Peace Education Path", that we was implemented in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and supported by the Wasl Fund, laysed strong foundation for a society living in peace and harmony.

Project Objectives:

1. Promoting a Culture of Peace: Promoting and spreading a culture of peace among students through specially created educational curricula.
2. Preventing Radicalization: Preventing violent extremism that may lead to terrorism by integrating peace education curricula into the education system.
3. Empowering students: Enabling students to acquire the values of citizenship, tolerance and dialogue between different cultures.
4. Child and adolescent protection: Provide a safe environment in schools for children and adolescents at risk of radicalization and violence.

Project Services:

1. Teacher training: Training courses were organized for teachers on peace education curricula. The training aims to enable teachers to effectively convey these approaches and values to students.
2. Equipping Peace Laboratories: The selected schools are equipped with Peace Laboratories, which contain tables and equipment.
3. Computer. These labs provide an interactive learning environment that encourages students to participate and interact.

Project Outcomes:

1. Effective education of peace values: Peace education curricula have been integrated into the educational process, helping to build a generation aware and educated of the values of peaceful coexistence.
2. Safe School Environment: Peace Labs has helped create a safe school environment that encourages dialogue and positive interaction among students. Reducing the risk of radicalization: Through education and awareness, the project has contributed to reducing the likelihood that students will drift towards violent extremism.

The "Peace Education Path" project is an important step towards building a more peaceful and stable society. Through cooperation between the educational system and society, we can promote the values of tolerance and citizenship, and protect future generations from the dangers of extremism and violence.
