The project "Promoting and Protecting the Right to Reparation," implemented by Al-Mesalla in partnership with Amnesty International, aims to defend the rights of victims affected by terrorist operations within Nineveh Governorate. The project specifically targets the areas of Mosul, Tal Afar, and Sinjar and seeks to address gaps in the reparations process while empowering affected populations by:

  1. Evidence Collection and Documentation: The project seeks to collect evidence, document cases, and report violations against victims to ensure accountability and justice.
  2. Publication of a Report on Gaps: Through careful research and analysis, the project intends to publish a comprehensive report highlighting the shortcomings of the reparations process within Nineveh Governorate.
  3. Supporting the Advocacy of Victims' Rights: Using the evidence collected, the project will actively support advocacy efforts to secure the rights and reparations of victims.
  4. Awareness and Knowledge Promotion: Through the dissemination of information and awareness-raising campaigns, the project seeks to enhance the understanding of the affected populations regarding their rights and the process of reparations.
  5. Advocating for Systemic Changes: The project calls for systematic reforms to the reparations process, aiming to address structural deficiencies and ensure equitable access to justice.
